When Diplom-Is wanted to launch its completely new fruit ice, its clear ambition was that the public should experience “Frutz” as something totally new in every way. In addition to developing the name and the design of the range, Grid was also given the opportunity to develop what is known in the trade as a mould ring, which is the shape of the fruit ice itself. Important factors in this formulation were to reconcile the visual look with the volume, size and technical construction, such as “slip” and freezing time, etc.
