Gyldendal aimed to revitalize their design program. Gyldendal’s symbol – the pine tree, has represented Norwegian nationality and durability since the mid 1920′s. It is a central design element and the project placed great emphasis on its continuity. The new logo is attractive and contemporary while keeping strong links to the past. Innovative design elements such as the Book- and Page-patterns give the design program a unique flavour. The distinctive colour-program further emphasises Gyldendal´s creativity.

The design program is the visual glue that binds all publishers, editors and activities together. It provides added value and increased credibility for books, teaching materials and online products that Gyldendal delivers to their customers.
